“kite songs” is a collection of Cambodian folk songs played and composed by Uncle Nop Nen a farmer from Kampong Svay in Cambodia and played on a homemade chapei dang veng (ចាប៉ីដងវែង) a traditional, two-stringed Cambodian guitar that is usually plucked.

The two strings are made from nylon. Uncle Nen sings a mix of traditional and self-composed songs. The recordings were made on the 27th and 28th of November 2019 by Ryan Anders for OXLAEY Media. All OXLAEY recordings are published under a Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Creative Commons license.
